J Balvin surprised fans at Coachella 2024 by welcoming Will Smith on stage for an out-of-this-world performance that saw the actor recreate his rap and dance moves from his 1997 "Men in Black" music video.
In a video clip from the pair's rehearsal of the alien-themed set, J Balvin praised the star. "We have the legend Will Smith here," he said in Spanish, later calling his experience working with him a "dream."
Smith popped up in the middle of Balvin’s UFO-themed set from the bottom of the stage wearing a black suit and shades as he shouted at the crowd, “Coachella!” before the track began.
The performance came a few hours after Smith's wife, Jada Smith, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram showing her enjoying the festival with her husband and their daughter Willow. The caption, which read "A great show and old friends," seemed to be a reference to the final photo, which showed Pinkett Smith embracing pop star Justin Bieber while Smith smiled in the background.
Men in Black movie features will smith and Tommy Lee Jones as agents investigating extraterrestrial life on Earth. And fans couldn't get enough of the movie's UFO conspiracy theories, as sequels were released in 2002, 2012 and 2019.
