One Za’abeel in the Guinness World Records for the ‘longest cantilevered building’ in the world

The iconic landmark in Dubai One Za’abeel has announced that it has received the Guinness world records tittle for the “longest Cantilevered Building” in the world with its panoramic hall, The Link.

Hovering over the city, the link houses eight Michelin-inspired restaurants, the longest floating infinity pool in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a bar on its monumental 230 meters. The link offers a 360 degrees view of the emirate of Dubai.

The link cuts through the skyscraper of One Za’abeel at a height of 100meters, with its record breaking cantilever extending at a length of 67.277 meters beyond the main tower of the project.

During construction, the link was completed in two phases within 16 days without interrupting the four traffic lanes underneath the construction site. In the second phase, the over 900-ton freestanding structure was lifted into place in four days.

The director of One Za’abeel Issam Galadari, appreciated their success saying that it was a sign they have successfully delivered on the goals they set for the project from the beginning.

“Our ambition to realize One Za’abeel with innovation, excellence and ambition has paid off. Receiving the Guinness World Record tittle for the “Longest Cantilevered Building’ is a sign of recognition that we have successfully delivered on the promises we made for the project from the very beginning,” Galadari said

One Za’abeel was developed by the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD). Dubai is known for its record breaking buildings, adding One Za’abeel to the list of this achievements.
