DJ Joe Mfalme reiterates his cooperation in investigations involving him in a cops death

Joseph Mwendwa commonly known as DJ Joe Mfalme has cleared the air on his connection with the alleged assault of Kabete police detective Felix Kelian.

DJ Joe Mfalme and his team were heading home in kikuyu when they were involved in a minor accident where his car was scratched, leading to an argument with the detective before officers were called to the scene.

According to police reports, it was at the station where Kelian started complaining of abdominal pain and started urinating blood. The detective was rushed to the Nairobi West hospital where he was operated but gave in to his injuries on Friday march 22 while receiving treatment.

 DJ Joe Mfalme on Sunday responded to the police statement of questioning him alongside his bouncer, driver and photographer, where he reassured his cooperation in the investigation as required by the authorities.

“Given the ongoing investigations, the sensitive nature of the matter, we shall refrain from making any further statements at this time. We shall purpose to update you once the investigations are complete.” He stated

He further shared his sincere condolences to the bereaved family for the untimely death of the officer.

“Once again, we convey our sincerest condolences to the bereaved family and friends affected by this distressing event,” he added

Kelian is said to have died from pancreatic complications, this is according to the autopsy results.

Three officers who are said to have attended the incident where the alleged assault occurred will also be questioned. The officers have been accused of negligence following the incident that took place on the 16th of March.
