Embakasi east MP Babu Owino and a team of few other MPs have revealed their plan to launch a new opposition alliance that will stress the government into addressing issues affecting Kenyans.
In a press conference on Tuesday, the team of MPs including the Githunguri MP Gathoni wamuchomba explained the purpose of the alliance saying that the main opposition coalition has relaxed in fighting for the rights of Kenyans.
“This team will be on the ground to fight for the voice of the voiceless, to fight for the inherent and inalienable right of every Kenyan wherever they are in the eight regions,” he stated
Since showing his interest in the AU commission chairperson job, the opposition leader Raila odinga has not been actively challenging the Kenya kwanza government which is unlike his legacy in speaking out for Kenyans.
Babu owino alerted that this new opposition forum will claim the rightful position of an opposition party in pushing the government to address the issues affecting Kenyans.
“The maandamano would better be imagined than experienced,” the MP warned
On the other hand wamuchomba, branding the new alliance ‘team kuskiza ground’ said that they have teamed up to challenge the government to act and address issues facing Kenyans in every part of the country.
