Swiss International airline plane makes an emergency landing over unruly passenger

A plane from the Swiss International Airlines was forced to land after a passenger allegedly tried to enter the cockpit causing a commotion.

According to reports the flight LX19 was heading to Zurich an hour before the emergency landing. A flight attendant was injured by the passenger who was forcefully trying to enter the cockpit.

“We had to turn back to Newark due to an unruly passenger who behaved abusively towards the crew” the airline spokesperson said.

He also confirmed that the flight with 236 passengers on board has now been canceled and the passengers moved on other flights immediately.

The responsible passenger has been charged with interference of transportation and assault and was released with a court desk appearance.
