President Ruto promises sh 10000 compensation for displaced households in Nairobi

President William Ruto has announced that displaced households in Nairobi, will receive Sh10,000 each to secure alternative accommodation for the next three months.

Speaking in Mathare on Monday, Ruto assured that the government has identified 40000 displaced households and will ensure they receive financial assistance for rent over the next three months.

"Every household of the 40,000 households that have been displaced in Nairobi will be paid Sh10,000 so that they can find alternative accommodation as we plan for their future as a government so that every Kenyan has a home and a place to call home, “president Ruto said.

This comes a few says after the interior CS kithure kindiki issued directives that residents in flood prone areas to evacuate with immediate effect.
