President Ruto opens the connected Africa summit 2024 at Uhuru gardens

President William Ruto has opened this year’s Connected Africa Summit happening at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi. 

speaking during the summit on Monday president Ruto mentioned the milestone Kenya has achieved through his leadership in embracing technological advancements by enabling access of government services online. 

“As a country we made a very conscious decision that technology is going to inform the way we transform our country. We set out in the last one and a half years to put all government services on digital platform. I am very happy that we are 80% on the way to making sure that every all government services is on the digital platform," Ruto said

The connected Africa summit aims at transcending the convectional boundaries of growth towards a digitally empowered and interconnected Africa by setting the stage for unprecedented growth and prosperity.

The attendees include prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi, representatives from other African countries, and members of parliament among other leaders.

The summit will end on Thursday 25th April.
