President Ruto makes 17 female ambassadorial appointments to recognize women in leadership.

The list of  women who were appointed by his Excellency president William Ruto to serve as ambassadors and high commissioners have now been publicized.

The list, comprising of ambassadors, high commissioners and deputy ambassadors was released by Felix Kosgei, who is the Head of Public Service.

“His Excellency the president has transmitted the nominations of high commissioners, ambassadors and permanent representatives to the national assembly for consideration and approval by parliament in fulfilment of the legal requirement set out under our nation’s supreme court,” he stated

During the international women’s day celebrations on Friday, President William Ruto announced that he has appointed female ambassadors to acknowledge their contribution in leadership.

“This morning, I have appointed 10 more women as ambassadors in different parts of the world and another six deputy ambassadors in recognition of the contribution of women in leadership,” said Ruto.

The president has continued to show his determination in honoring his promise of ensuring women are given equal chances of being part of the society including leadership.
