President William Ruto has today officially flagged off the 2024 World Rally Championships at the Kenya International Convention Center (KICC).
The convoy is set to head for the first competitive action at Kasarani Super special stage later today.
President Ruto suggested to the event organizers to consider making it a five day event rather than three days.
" I take this opportunity to express deep gratitude to the international automobile federation for its decision to reinstate Kenya to the world rallying championship calendar, making the safari rally one of the 13 events spanning Europe, the Americans, Africa and Asia," Ruto said
This WRC official event will take place at the service park in Naivasha.
