Lenana Primary School Reopens with Presidential Support

Lenana Primary School in Dagorreti South welcomed students back for the second term with a promising start as President William Ruto attended the inaugural assembly.

Amidst the ringing of bells, President Ruto pledged to personally sponsor the construction of 24 new classrooms, aiming for completion within two months. Additionally, he committed to providing uniforms and shoes for new students, ensuring their uninterrupted access to education.

"I have offered to to build those new classrooms, it is not the Ministry, I will construct those 24 classrooms. This contractor is commencing the works today, so that in the next two months I will return to commission it. For every child who comes here for the first time, I will buy them uniforms and shoes. These children have come here with uniforms from other schools, and the other ones have come with home clothes. But even before the uniforms arrive, these children should continue learning,” Ruto said

The presence of key figures, including Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and local MPs, underscored the significance of the occasion.

Lenana Primary's reopening marks a pivotal moment in the community's quest for quality education and brighter futures for its learners.
