Kirinyaga leaders pitch for Karua’s succession as the Azimio la umoja coalition leader.

Kirinyaga county leaders have asked Raila Odinga to consider leaving the Azimio leadership under the NARC-Kenya leader Martha Karua if the AU chairperson bid is successful.

Speaking in a church service on Sunday, Jane maina, kirinyaga women rep argued that Karua was Raila’s running mate in the 2022 general elections hence she is fit for the position.

“the iron lady was Raila Odinga’s running mate under the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition, the second in command in the Azimio is Martha Karua not kalonzo musyoka,” she stated

Raila’s possible exit from the Azimio coalition has led to speculations over who will replace him among the interested parties, including kalonzo muysoka of the wiper party, Hassan Joho of the ODM party and Wycliffe Oparanya  of the DAP-K party.

Earlier on kalonzo had claimed that Martha Karua was not fit for the role but Karua addressed him later on X warning him not to mudsling her political profile and instead worry about his own.
