Kenya Red Cross Launches Emergency Evacuation in Kitengela, Kajiado County Amid Heavy Rains

Kenya Red Cross has embarked on emergency evacuation in certain areas in Kitengela Kajiado County after a heavy rains were experienced in the region causing serious flooding.

In a post shared online on Wednesday morning at 4:45 am the Kenya Red Cross reported to have already landed in Kitengela to assist moving families following heavy rains in the area.

"We are currently on the ground assisting families to move to safety in Kitengela, Kajiado County, following heavy rainfall," Kenya Red Cross tweeted

According to Kenya Red Cross six people who are said to have been in a critical conditions have already been rescued.

The affected areas in Kitengela include Balozi Road, Baraka Road, Blessed Court, New Valley, Changombe, KAG area Deliverance road.
