Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions Across Five Counties

Scheduled Outages to Affect Specific Areas for Eight Hours on Thursday

In a public notice released on Wednesday evening, Kenya Power has informed residents and businesses across five counties of planned power interruptions scheduled for Thursday.

The interruptions, set to last for eight hours between 9 am and 5 pm, will impact various areas in Nairobi, West Pokot, Kisumu, Nyeri, and Laikipia.

 Among the areas slated for power interruptions in the capital city are Chemilil Road, UoN Parklands, Kipkabus Road, sections of Ngara Road, segments of Kipande Road, Chandarana Supermarket, parts of Mushembi Road, Museum Headquarters, Wetlands Road, GTC, Standard Chartered Bank, Stanbic Bank, and adjacent customers.

 While specific areas within the other counties were not delineated in the announcement, residents and businesses are advised to prepare for potential power disruptions during the specified timeframe.

The planned outages are part of routine maintenance and upgrade works aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the power supply infrastructure. Kenya Power has assured customers that every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience during this period.
