Jimmy Kibaki, son of former Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, has tendered his resignation as the deputy party leader of The New Democrats (TND).
Known for his significant role as a political strategist behind the scenes, Jimmy cited pressing family and business commitments as the primary reason for his decision.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Jimmy expressed his deep contemplation and soul-searching before reaching this pivotal decision. He emphasized the necessity to direct his attention fully towards urgent matters concerning his family and business ventures.
“At this time in my life, it has become apparent to me that I need to devote all my time to urgent family and business matters that require my full attention. Consequently, and after a lot of thought, consideration, and soul-searching, it is incumbent upon me to tender my immediate resignation as the TND Deputy Party Leader. This is not an easy decision, but I feel it is one I must make.” Jimmy said

in the Mount Kenya region, with the Limuru III meeting scheduled for Friday
