Former treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani arrested over sh. 8.2 billion probe

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested Former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani and the Current Marsabit Governor Ali Mohammud Mohammed over alleged embezzlement of Sh 8.2 billion from the public coffers in Marsabit County.

On Wednesday morning EACC Sleuths conducted raids in both Former Marsabit County Governor’s residence Yattani and the Current Marsabit Governor Ali Mohammud Mohammed houses and offices in Nairobi and Marsabit Counties concurrently.

Marsabit Governor Ali who is in custody will be escorted to EACC regional offices in Isiolo County while Yattani is already in custody of EACC detectives at the integrity Center.

Yattani was accompanied by Former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Siaya Governor James Orengo, Rarieda Mp Otiende Amollo among other leaders are present at the integrity center.
