Former REREC general manager for ICT and finance arrested by the EACC

The former general manger for finance and ICT in the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC) Noah Oketch have been apprehended by the EACC over forgery.

The former REREC finance and ICT manger has been arrested for accusations of forging his academic certificates to acquire his position at the agency.

Early last month, the EACC issued a warning to the civil service accountants over payments made to civil servants who have resigned or retired as they face allegations of forging their academic or professional certifications to get employment in public agencies.

Norah Oketch is currently being held by the EACC set to face charges at the Milimani law courts.
