The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has requested a tribunal from the Head of State, to investigate Judge Mohammed Noor Kullow for failure of delivering Judgment and orders in 116 pending cases.
“The commission has petitioned his Excellency the president to appoint a tribunal in accordance with article 168 (4) and (5) of the constitution,” The JSC chairperson stated
The commission’s decision on the suspension of the judge from office is followed by petitions that were filed complaining on the judges work conduct.
“The commission was satisfied that three out of the five petitions as well as the proceedings on the Commission’s own motion had disclosed grounds for the removal of Hon. Justice Kullow from office on the grounds of gross misconduct, incompetence and breach of the Judicial Service code of conduct,” Chief Justice Koome stated
The tribunal to be formed by the president will consist of seven members.
