Cabinet Issues Warning: Cyclone Hidaya Looms in Coastal Region

The cabinet has issued a warning to the coastal region that it is likely to face Hidaya Cyclone, which will bring about heavy rains, strong winds and large waves.

According the Cabinet cyclone will may affect the activities in the Indian Ocean.

"The coastal region is likely to experience Cyclone Hidaya, which will result in heavy rainfall and large waves," the Cabinet said.

With the ongoing heavy rains in the country, government reports say that at least 188 people have already been confirmed dead as a result of the flooding and 33,100 households displaced.
