Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi and PS Ronoh Sought for Arrest and Prosecution

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution approved charges for agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika LINturi together with his principal Secretary Paul Ronoh to face arrest and prosecution over sale of substandard fertilizer to farmers.

On Friday detectives claimed to be looking for the two after they failed to honor summon made by the DCI.

Agriculture CS Linturi is among those who faced police interrogations over the manufacturing, distribution and sale of substandard fertilizer to farmers under the fertilizer subsidy programme.

Following a directive by the ODPP, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) carried out a comprehensive and thorough investigations regarding the manufacturing, distribution and sale of substandard fertilizer to farmers under the fertilizer subsidy programme.

However CS Linturi had denied any involvement in the fertilizer scam since its procurement is not under his administration.
